Karma Moffett offers individuals a wonderful opportunity to experience the vibrational nature of his Tibetan Singing Bowls directly, in a session he calls a Body-ring. When Karma performs a Body-ring, he lays the person upon the floor, places one or two bowls upon the body, and then surrounds the person with the remainder of the bowls. The bowls are placed in relationship with the chakra system, from low tones to high. Tapping deeply into an intuitive mode, Karma blends the impact of the physical vibrations of the Bowls with their penetrating harmonics as he sometimes gently, sometimes vigorously strikes them. One hears the rich sound-tapestry of the primary tones and complex harmonics interweave, while feeling the sound vibrations move through the body. As the Body-ring progresses, the individual relaxes ever more profoundly, as the physical body and the subtle energy systems are brought into balance. Energies that have been stored in the body, due to traumas, illness, or injuries, are gently stimulated and released from their static patterns, allowing these energies to be free flowing and available.
Karma Moffett has been developing his healing ceremonies and Body-rings since 1976. Throughout the past twenty-six years, Karma has sifted through nearly five thousand antique bowls to collect twenty-four. These were selected for their purity of tone, their sustained resonance, and their harmonic attunement with each other. They are hand-made of five to nine metals, so that each bowl produces a variety of tones and harmonics. Karma has bowls ranging from very deep bass tones to delicate, high notes, as well as pairs of bowls. The handmade bells and tingsha are also antique. Up to twelve fine metals were used in their creation, including meteorite.
